Steven Anaya connected over our shared passion for %HESITATION personal %HESITATION developments %HESITATION we’ve both being too %HESITATION Tony Robbins and yes group %HESITATION so that’s really being great way to connect with you %HESITATION Steven so I’d I’d like to start there how how how did your journey start into personal development what was that it was actually quite a long time ago is a nineteen eighty one and there was a group called eccentricities %HESITATION in the U. K. was part of what was then est yes T. and now it’s been known as landmark forum and in nineteen eighty one we haven’t heard a lot about %HESITATION and L. P. and the usage of this sort of technology that cyber and technology but they were using it quite deliberately and they because it was it was actually quite a cult so there was this whole for rule in the newspapers it even went to a parliament that they were discussing about whether this coach was %HESITATION should be allowed and it was looking to be banned and so of course me being a bright young upstart said I must go and find out what this is all about and that was that was my first experience of personal development and it was amazing it radiated suggests set me up for the rest of my life %HESITATION so that’s where we started yeah and so what was I’m going on with you at that time that you felt that okay I need to go down this personal development rich worried we facing any challenges or not what was going on in your life at the time I first saw when I was twenty two years old and I was facing the challenges of a young man coming into his prime might sort of moved out from home I was working I didn’t have any %HESITATION challenges other than the usual challenges that you know sort of the that post adolescent challenges of being a young man sitting out in the world and just looking to see what was going on so %HESITATION myself from my flat mates at the time we both to discover this this course or whatever you wanna call it and decided that it will be actually thought it would be good fun to go home and see what it was order at the house so it was just a really sort of better than going out for a night out at the top you know is it is really good that you that that that you found this on over your %HESITATION that young I must’ve really %HESITATION set you up very nicely I am yes what were some of the things that you M. you experience an R. or dot dot dots you learned or that you felt kind of you had a %HESITATION a change around I would certainly I learned since the most things that go on our control delusion so this was something that we went through we went through various processes during the pay the those that so %HESITATION seminal the tool chest you know how easy it is how easily we mislaid %HESITATION and how easily when lots of stories are posted as I mentioned it was in the newspapers about it and everything so they use that actually to to do a process on us when we were quite well for to think that we have police outside and that will be rated and it seemed very obvious it could happen and I think it’s made me very aware it’s question every experience that I have in life and everything that goes on and be a %HESITATION be aware that reality sometimes is not reality mmhm I mean do you mean like how %HESITATION how reality is presented to us maybe through the mass media is that what you’re referring to yes %HESITATION through the mass media and and how our perception is so weak you know perception could be distorted we see this a lot in magic I was enough magic when I was a kid so %HESITATION we see this a lot in magic and that is with smoke and mirrors and if you look at magic we will laugh magic we have to go and see magic we will laugh %HESITATION that illusion and you know how the magician makes us think one thing and then something else happens we only love to be tricked no we dont but actually that’s what’s going on and when someone doesn’t illusion unless that’s exactly what they’re doing they’re tricking us in making think one thing %HESITATION and feeding us with information that makes us think one way while they’re doing something else behind our backs %HESITATION so yeah we can look at that and and that because of all the a lot in our lives so whether it’s mainstream media %HESITATION it can be the education system it can be lots of things that Phyllis with a certain level of programming and certain ideas and then those become realities now they said she said leads nicely into the goal mapping because it uses the same techniques we use NLP there as well when we can actually make cal brain I think one thing and then it becomes a reality so we’ll get into that a little yeah yeah yeah I I suppose yeah it it’s a tool that can be used as you say for positive or even %HESITATION at negative ways so I’m not saying it’s negative or positive it’s just yeah yeah Lucien anyone when we embrace that we the stand to be aware that we can control that okay yes I am mmhm it just saying I come away to to dive in a bit deeper into that so I’m talking about M. goals then M. Howell how do we know or like how how how can we choose goals like what is a good way of choosing a goal because I think some people saying okay you know they might have like a wish or dream or like but what is an actual goal if you know what I mean okay sorry I would say that a you summed it up nicely there because a goal reading is a wish or dream and I’m trying to make it yeah drain because when when you just wish for some things you’re doing something very ordinary if you dream you dream back up %HESITATION and actually when I do go mapping with Peace Corps I usually like to get more message on that it’s not just me state so getting them very mindful because then they will release some of the barriers that happened in normal life and they get into a state where they can redeem during debate so I was sad goal should be something that’s achievable but maybe it’s going to test a test you are pushing tune jingle or name it’s challenging because then it’s something that you’re reading I have to make happen and you have to use every thing in your power to make it happen our goal should be something like %HESITATION yeah I’m gonna have a Cup of coffee every morning she’s not much of a goal set yourself a goal that I’m going to get up at six o’clock every morning because a five kilometer run okay and do it every single day I know that some people yes of course you can do it we can all do that all that said no single but most of us can do that %HESITATION they might be somewhere in petal collapse problems and accomplish generating you can do that you can get up at six o’clock but you have to really work on yourself to do it and make it happen every day but the military if you did it every day after a period of time it will become a habit and you’ve been waking up at twenty six getting out and having a shower getting ready and getting use your trainers on and you be out there doing you wrong without thinking about it would not be difficult anymore after the first few months yeah yeah yeah I think it’s always like the the hardest thing is always thought that first step I think and then once you get the momentum going it gets much easier but I’m gonna ask you then how do we kind of how could you get clear on on the goals that we have because I know %HESITATION goals are like dreams sorry can be can feel quite vague sometimes like you could be our dream my goal I want to get healthy or I want to be rich or I want to find love or I want to you know it can feel quite vague how do we actually start to break this down and make it more specific okay so it’s always good to put in numbers put %HESITATION levels or put something on this so that if you know if you %HESITATION for example if you want to meet the man of your dreams you probably didn’t need to be a little bit more specific and really think about that so when I A. again when I do go mapping I’d like to get people to read the line down and stuff and imagine things but not just imagine all I want a new boyfriend or I want a new house so I want a new job the stop thinking about and seeing that house for example so if it’s a new house see the house but don’t just see the outside of the house open the door go inside have a look around see your favorite chair in the house where you can see and managing yourself being in there what are the colors how’s it decorated when you start putting coverage your dreams it adds another level to it and then maybe smell something in a delight to burn incense soul and what’s with the smell was in there how do you feel who’s in there when you start doing that reading adding detail to your goal it becomes much easier for the brain to stop creating and making it happen if you just have a new house it could be any house and maybe it will not be the house of your dreams should be very specific with your goals yeah I am not that’s really nice is already a great idea to kind of really I feel your your dreams with the over with all of your five %HESITATION senses I think that’s really important M. and so waste goals for example %HESITATION actually and I think well us first is because I think this is something that you %HESITATION help me with whenever we did the the goal mapping processes like you really helped me to kind of push beyond my comfort zone so how do we know whenever the kind of dreams that where or the goals that we’re setting for ourselves that they’re they’re kind of a that they are kind of within our M. as imitates mind how Carino okay actually you know what I can just stretch just a little bit beyond that you know well you and I both men’s Tony Robbins he talks a lot about admitting beliefs and if our limiting beliefs when we believe something copy it changed it tends not to be a change in fact Henry Ford had a great saying what do you think you can and what do you think you’ll call your rights hello mind works is is what you believe is going to happen what you believe is achievable is what we comes achievable so %HESITATION what I would do is do is push people to set their goals higher than their expectations but within the capabilities to look at what someone else yeah he was somebody else’s changed and so what if they can achieve it why can’t you this is the truth of the matter because we all individuals in okay some people said what I had a head start in some reason but she can look at most people who really achieve greatness I quite often didn’t have a head start take Oprah Winfrey she’s a great example yeah she had an awful start in life and look where she is now so we have to look at integrating samples like her or not there’s loads of other examples around and say well you know they said they dream super high maybe they kept on building that ladder but he’s funny doing that and said to you and your goals and setting the bar high that you actually achieve more than you can if you set the the bar if you set a goal is something is it said that it is very achievable yes you’ll get it they’ll be no with his team in doing huh yeah yeah I was also I think isn’t the actors %HESITATION a saying as well you can reach for for the stars if you land on the moon like that’s still pretty good yours hi Johnny aim for the moon maybe it would’ve only gotten as far as the clouds or something so yeah the high end of the high you said get the ball the more chance you’re gonna push yourself that little bit further and I’ve always had a great %HESITATION thing that I’ve thought about even before I discovered %HESITATION might be but I would say that you know I would set my %HESITATION my pedestal very high I was said Michael was very high because HM then more scared to fall down to miss them so I really make every effort you really push yourself to to get that and then if you fall short slightly as you say you’ve achieved something far greater than if you had a very low expectations in the first place exactly so then what are the %HESITATION what are the %HESITATION after beats of a good goal you know like we we know kind of %HESITATION %HESITATION structures like the like the smart goals for example is that is that something that you would recommend like and how we go about in in like choosing and setting goals when when we set a goal in a goal map and we’ll get on to a little bit more about how it works but with one of the real rules about the affirmation parts without the written part of the goal is the three piece so you have personal present I’m positive this I was helping with set goals in this way when you set them with a three peas so the reason why it’s done that way we make them personal the reason is personal if you cannot set a goal for somebody else you can set a goal for yourself to help somebody else for example up I’ve got a ten year old son he always appears on Michael maps but he’s never I never have a goal for him I might go through with it I will give him the best opportunities to have a great life all things that they so they always goes that I have for myself to help him have a better life but I consider go for him we set in the present the reason we do this is that when we tell our sub conscious that something is going to happen when we get to the time that it’s going to happen we still with the message that the sub conscious getting is it’s going to happen so for example if you want to give up smoking and that’s the goal of yours and you said OK %HESITATION I want to give up smoking by the thirty first of December as so many people do their pricing okay and I want to give up smoking by the thirty first separate dates on it which is great but when he gets thirty first of December was the message the right hands I want to give up smoking so if that is the message the brain school is set in Oregon have given up smoking because it’s the ones giving it up with if you say I’m a non smoker you make it to a very positive statement that is present at that I’ve given up I do not smoke then the brain has that messaging has to make that the achievement the reason we do send you what the personal you’ve got the presents and always make it positive because by creating positivity around your goals you create too much but a new pathway by having positive thoughts and when we have positive thoughts we allow that punctuates continue by producing the sash to return in night and day from endorphins that help the brain to open up and continue that the world’s when it’s a negative thought we produced within quarters %HESITATION which tends to be the what we have in the fight or flight mode and the strokes and thinking it drops the opinion that the way that the new pathways are formed and therefore we don’t get such great result uhhuh yeah that’s a powerful that the the three peas a nice way to %HESITATION to remember as well M. and also I want to talk about like %HESITATION what it like about the %HESITATION the drivers behind goals because obviously we can set a goal but I think we need to know like why are we need to have that real drive to begin with absolutely and and everything is driven by emotions so actually if you think about everything you want so that helps you work is because it’s gonna be comfortable to live in it’s gonna make you feel happy most things if we really keep asking the question why why why so avoids this is something else that I’ve learned that if you want something ask yourself why it wants it and when you also that question then ask yourself why do you want white adults and then when you get that also it’s gonna keep drilling down to the until you get to the bottom and when you get to the person who usually find is an emotion that is what about a certain emotions what Dr most of our actions so if we use this and we use our emotions and go mapping we actually have three goals that are built around the motion set that that’s the why and when we do that we tend to have a much stronger opportunity to create what we want because it’s about the emotional group telling the bride what it’s gonna receive returning it the reward is going to get absolutely %HESITATION so I want to know %HESITATION to talk about how has goal mapping %HESITATION helps you like %HESITATION because I know you’ve got some great experiences and %HESITATION and and stories to share yes my first ever goal Matt was one that I never realized was to go back so %HESITATION back in two thousand and four I went to NC Robbins Tony Robbins a U. P. W. unleashed power within which the four day event that that’s that’s amazing I know you’ve been there as well see about anything you want your audience he’s been will know which will be better if they haven’t been it’s very very powerful and when I went on this back in two thousand four I was at a great point of change in my life and I was looking full to leave the U. K. I was looking to change everything about where I was in my life so it was a great opportunity and Tony Robbins was a great catalyst for that to happen one of the things I did at U. P. W. is I signed up for the monster university which is three further events one of them being date with destiny and if anyone’s gonna do Tony Robbins events already strongly recommend going date with destiny so powerful and I think we destiny I went there with his two thousand and six actually I went on a date with destiny and we date what was gonna happen I didn’t know it was gone so it was this we met with pictures of words and I explained a bit more about that later it was ripping some was it was a ten year plan where was I going to be in ten years in my life and I put lots of material things on it and it was great and I would I had this great go map and then when I took it home might I had she had to get rid of it I was living in Russia I’ll go into that a little bit more as well %HESITATION but I have I was in a very toxic relationship at the time and of course the girl that I was with was not in my ten year plan and I realized that if she got hold of the government she would be a little bit disappointed to say the least so but I still was kept in my head so I always had this and I’ve been checking it through before going home so I always had it in my head and as it was room table it was about living by the sea it was having a nice house having a nice call family well these the trappings we waltzed under control so nothing wrong with it but they were material and see it was ten years later in two thousand sixteen in a U. P. W. went again with Tony Robbins and a big group of Russians because of when I lived in Russia set up %HESITATION with a couple of friends I think we called the spring Russians Tony Robbins events in Europe and I left because I moved to Spain and I set myself up with my family in Spain I had a young child as I mentioned at a high end we came to live in Spain and I was all state this UPW event in two thousand sixteen or two related experience from my Tony Robbins stating something about Tony Robbins that with the head resonates with me I thought about it and I realize it’s I don this go map with a silent goal setting and I’ve done ten years earlier I realize that actually that year in two thousand sixteen I’ve moved into the house by the sea I live just outside of Barcelona I had the nice trappings the call the wife the child with the things I put down then ten years later almost to the day I had everything I wanted to research and find out a little bit more about what these two walls and that was really my first experience of called mapping and from then through the other link that you mention which was %HESITATION the yes group in London which caucus who runs a very very good friend of mine and this guy Brian Maine was going down he was talking about go mapping and college choose me to him is a lucky guy Brian %HESITATION we became very good friends and he he was at a few events that I flew in from Spain to go to and we got we got chatting about with %HESITATION mapping and he told me about time any weapons in the city I must have done this this was when I date back it thank the destination sure enough it was sweet he didn’t offer to invites me to one of his seminars that he did and what a seminar in Heathrow such trouble with any to do that it was amazing one little boy at the time it was eight and he loved it as well and we must discuss with Brian I said I want to learn about this tool and I want to share it because it seems really powerful it worked for me once and I now I understood a bit more about science behind it and he took me under his wing we became great friends and he became my mentor and teacher and coach me through problem all the way through to becoming a master coach of commencing the yep that’s that’s how I really got into it in school my mom yes so and then it tell me more about the act is the actual goal mapping process itself you’re eat you can decide about you you understand how the how the science works around it so can you explain a little bit more about about that yes the several things I think a couple of the most important things one is the fact that it go mat is made up of pictures and words and the reason for this is a fine if I say to your audience because we’ve done this before but if I say sure didn’t think it would be H. now in my experience only once has it not been the case but sometimes it doesn’t happen but in my experience everyone will sit there and think of sensing palm trees relaxation %HESITATION all the lovely things at a beach means to them and they’ll see a picture of their favorite beach my or their dream beach the one that I’ve never been to yet but they want to go to the truth is when you mention the word or phrase the brain usually thinks in pictures it doesn’t think of the word P. E. A. C. H. you don’t see those letters in front of you but then if you think of the picture that you thought also that exotic tropical island with palm trees and %HESITATION or something else he quite often can mean holiday %HESITATION relaxation we could mean something else but when you take that picture and you put the word beach underneath it Ben is exactly you know exactly what it means with the ambiguity goes away so this is the beauty of gonna happen this works in the same way simply using our left side of the brain and the right side of the brain which is the logic and the creative side if the two different sides it’s not quite as straightforward as that I have been pulled up by neuroscientist who told me well the unit is a little bit more to it than that I agree with that let’s keep make it simple because when not old neuroscientist so it’s best to just sort of go by the the sort of old fashioned way of thinking with the two different sites so with two elements of the brain that think in slightly different ways so when you have the logic site that is affected by your affirmations of words and then you have your creative side affected by the peaches and bring those two together the ambiguity goes annual goal becomes very very kia to the bright other areas of the sciences and mention about the near parkway supposed to thinking this is important because when we actually September %HESITATION a goal is still sound like everything is a thought actually everything in life starts out as a whole is something that pops into our head now that could be photo by outside influences but we we think about things before anything else we see something we think what is it %HESITATION we manifest something because we thought about it then I thought becomes an ID yeah we start to process it and what happens is that the the brain and your new one stop to proces this reform your parkways %HESITATION by actually creating that for too many regularly think about that same tool this continues to build and build and build until we have a really strong euro parkway and eventually that becomes an idea from an idea it becomes a belief when we really believe something it can then become a reality my great a good analogy about this is if you go to the field and the grass is up to he called syquest you know you gotta get across the other side you said Wade your way through Senegal she waited way through when you walk through it you get to the upside more you come back to that same field and you find where you went through in the sort of some of the crosses pop back up when you consider what your way back through and if you keep walking that same parkway every day for a period of time eventually the grass stays down and that chief you will ever in the country and you look where people walk the grass stops growing it out she stopped crying and that parkway stays and it’s very similar how it works in the brain when we form these neural pathways the stronger they become the more we focus on the monitor daily basis the more chance that they can become beliefs and therefore more likely that they can happen yes there is a really really really %HESITATION a powerful way to describe it yeah I think it’s just it’s like I think what you’re saying it’s it sounds like it’s about ready how to create a a hobbit yeah absolutely that certain habits of course create realities yeah exactly yeah that’s really cool so I’m then it took me Sir a bit about the actual %HESITATION Goel map itself because I know am because I’ve gone through the experience of the so at the very M. center off the map is kind of like your your main goal and then it it’s like eight eight branches out so talk to me a bit about what what what %HESITATION what Sam each of those branches are represent okay so basically this seven steps to building ago my B. starts off by my dream a dream big think about what you really want to get a sensual go by your main goal and put that in with the information and pictures the incident you know what you’ll and it can be around business it could be a business goal it can be around life it can be your life goals it can be a short term goal for example if you do wonders image before give up smoking that could be a goal that you your goal could be to give up smoking once you put your central go once you know what you’ll you’ll find folks sees you then build for around eight four key goals that should help you along that are going to %HESITATION that way if they happen they can the beast working hand in hand with the main goal and they can to support the mango then we have three further goals across the top and these three goals at the Gulf coast to talk these are our emotional gold seizes this is the why to something I mean I’ve I’ve gotta go math here and we can see sort of the the setup here of it if I get a bit further back that way so yes you got your central go here you got your full goes around the outside of it and then across the top you got three goals which is the emotional goals and then down the sides we have our they all on one side we have how how so these are the thing the steps that we gonna take straight away %HESITATION action goals what we gonna do from today to start making things happen and then on the other side the things of who who is going to help us or what group is going to help us or things that are going to help the actions stop taking place then in the middle here this section here we have out dates we have a start date to the bottom and we have a an end date at the top the reason we have an end date is very important because a goal without the date is just an idea it can just keep going so we need to set a date so that in any even if we miss that date small but important targets who hung up on it but how to date this that we go to target to aim for any components in the middle I signed it and this is also reading poll we sign our goals because that makes a commitment the brain recognizes that when we sign something for its commitment to it happening and this is been for many many A. S. S. in the case so committing means you’ll tell your brain this has to happen and therefore the brain stops making it work and B. it’s incredible how powerful apparatus of skies back to nineteen eighty one as I said he went when we even stories when we told stories by others the brain stops believing in them and they become reality so take control of your life if you stop telling yourself the stories and you tell yourself the illusions that you want which the girl was saw because at the beginning they’re just an illusion that just the thought that three is just a minute but they become a reality just like everything else does because you become you convince the brain your sub conscious that this is gonna happen and therefore and that it’s happened and therefore the the sub conscious goes out there and what he believed in the lord attraction what do you believe in logical steps that you’re just aware of something you become more aware of opportunities because you’re thinking about it it all works in the same way it brings you to to succeed in your goals yeah I am and it’s like I think it is so great how you know as you said it’s it was working with the pictures and the words because when you act when you can see it as well as like having the %HESITATION a positive statement that really makes it a lot more powerful than just having like a when you just write down things so yeah I’d like to do this or I want to do that or want to Jesus and and also what you said is so when you write that a statement it needs to be I’m in the present moment like oz as if it’s already happened right yeah so as a mother a great example from the government that I just showed you that start with the books one so this I’ll tell you the dates because it’s not so easy so it was on March twenty fourth twenty twenty now everyone should remember is March twenty twenty all the wrong reasons we don’t really want to go back there but I’m gonna take you back there because it was a soft cover that was when things just started looking down I live in Spain as I said we went through a pretty harsh book them for the first three months we were trapped in our house houses we weren’t allowed out once and I will discuss shopping for food and that was about it %HESITATION and we are under tow small stuff and if you don’t kill I I it she’ll read it out for you I am an online present so that was my one of my goals and I’ll set the choice most would help me the reason for that is we just had our first online zoom meeting with house masters and I hadn’t done any presentations online actual primate this ago it sort of seems to me not well you know this this will be interesting to see and it was one of the goals I then went home to become president of my test must come in July something that I hadn’t even thought about beforehand and I continue to be used by small says something to improve my online speaking and now I’ve appeared on quite a number of port costs I’ve been in a simple tools from some big festivals and even with a with a conical Christian G. which is part of the camp group %HESITATION one world and we %HESITATION I was invited to speak on one of his not because it was a huge events and there was I would try to seventeen thousand views of that event so yes I’d say that you know from never having done an online presentation before I put it in my I would go mad that that really did come to fruition and it’s continuing that way so mmhm %HESITATION we’ve been sort of forced down this road but it’s certainly on the twenty fourth of March when I put that down there I could never have predicted we were talking about three weeks inside and in the end we we were going to pay maybe maybe my goal map was part of the reason why this all happened who knows but yeah no it’s really it’s it’s so cool %HESITATION all the things that that you’ve done and %HESITATION so did you %HESITATION because the one thing which which you said whenever we went through the the process about the M. S. thirty day challenge about how important it is to each day have a look at the goal mop save the save the statements have a look at the pictures as well yep so this is part of the process so what what we do is evergreen I do it in the mornings I’d like to actually keep them around me in the office so I’ve got my my go much around here with me so but every morning it’s a little ritual go to a job I’ve had to serve which was in the morning so it’s good to have you your morning rituals one of them is that I go to the %HESITATION go to the mirror I have a a smile at myself I tell myself what a great time to have safe you nice things about myself smile due to these things and then I pick up Michael Matt and I go through all the goals from start to finish and I read out the affirmations aloud I’m just returning you had written out loud it gives a better message to the bride look at the pictures and of course pictures and we’ll talk a little bit about how we put this all together I took a look at the pictures as well and this gives a real resonates with the brain and you start to pick this up and it goes into the sub conscious she sent out every day for thirty days doing this a minimum of thirty days I still actually this this one finished on thirty first of December but I still use it even though quite most of the goals I’ve achieved %HESITATION so there’s a few that I’m still working on it I want them to grow and they re they followed up in my new goal maps that I’ve done but what you do is if you repeat it for a minimum of thirty days you really build this parkway as I mentioned about going across the field if you will cost a few thirty thirty days running by the end of those thirty days you’ll have a pathway it’s the same thing with the new pathways if you keep repeating them as you mentioned until they become happy until the brain really starts going and saying every time you wake up it’s already got it some is doing everything to make those goals happen yeah so how about like you know when it comes to the time okay we we we have our goals and usually at the at the I’m at the start were you know we’re going for it but then challenges come along problems things things get tough and that’s the point right or should I keep going should I give up shit %HESITATION what what what what what should I do so what do you say is like what what’s a good thing to do whenever we do have those challenges when we’re trying to pursue your goals I think what we have to realize what was certainly in probably the most challenging time in %HESITATION generations at this moment you know this is China world where where we are and it’s very important to bear in mind that Brian who invented government he comes from the Isle of Wight we lived on the side of whites he’s very exciting and into well things around savings he he has a great analogy around stating that if you’ll if you’re on a sail boat are you quoting a storm if you just let go the and you know get back is close to being on course as you can with the time because eventually you’ll come out of the store most people do you have it is similar to the storm we’re in at the moment we know that the school one way or another it’s going to come we can come to the end of this period and something something will be happening well I am a great believer that is not going to be going back to however thing was because we’ve already shifted and I’m a great believer that if the shift is right if we will believe in if you’ll set great goals we can find that we can be in a much better place when we do come out of this so you know we we set course for that dream island with the beautiful beach %HESITATION and then we had a storm on the way but if we stay focused on getting to that beach we will get that so it’s very very important and don’t beat yourself up about not getting two goals in a few as we said before if you set the bar very high and you get close to it I’m you mentioned a great analogy if you aim for the stars in the land on the moon wow you’ve you’ve got to the moon yeah first you said I’m gonna you know under who get to the top of that building and they didn’t even get to the third floor %HESITATION they’re the ones who never got anywhere ready so you know it says you’ve got hi don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get there with you stink you going off course just refocus %HESITATION if you finish your thirty days of doing you go Matt and then you feel like you’re going of course get you know get the comment out reading I can go through it again do another changes you have that with lots of things change so it can be prepared to be flexible and %HESITATION maybe when you start down the road something and the great thing about go mapping it was actually originally designed for children so Brian even wrote a book called Sam the magic genie this book and if so what about lace nicely because kids understand the stories of change your wish is my command think of your sub conscious in a similar way your wish is my command the sub conscious comping for itself or or decide for itself it can only be commanded by you give when you get that information and that people make when they set goals I think a few of them I’ve I’ve covered so I think that goes for other people okay ma’am mmhm hi this is quite a common one so you know they will %HESITATION it might be what around lab and they might go for someone they want to fourteen up with Emily you know it’s it’s going to be you can’t do that %HESITATION it might be that they set goals as I said it was well known in the presence of they set goals and they want something so when you tell your brain you want something when you get to the end the goal you still wants it because that’s the goal that you set yourself so these is a quite a few things for getting the three peas is a common mistake and this is why a lot of goals that were account because we we don’t use that present personal the level and we don’t put it in the positive side and also being negative about things so you don’t sort of say %HESITATION I’m gonna lose you know if you want to die if you want to lose some weight senator lose five pounds I think what you’ll you’ll wait will be when you five pounds lighter and so I’m going to be that white so with him so with these things so that the common mistakes a lot of people make when they’re setting goals is that they don’t put the put them in that white the primary understands and sets out to make them happen quite often if you really look at your goals %HESITATION and again pretty peach some words and another thing that really falls down is if you set a goal and it’s just an affirmation and you don’t reading bring that into you have read it enough times I mean people have these goal setting systems where you have to read the affirmation fifty times every morning and and therefore after couple movies get a bit fed up with it so this is simply just put three takes no more than five minutes %HESITATION yes you read books on your goal map and then and then you set for the day yeah amazing yeah %HESITATION our time is it is going I’m quite quickly %HESITATION yeah as a kid it’s it’s it’s a great it’s a great topic to talk about and so just to to start M. wrapping up I am going to ask you %HESITATION the the same question that I ask each guest and %HESITATION the first one is what are the key practices that have helped you to to %HESITATION overcome challenges and attain success like what are the things that you’ve had to do it consistently throughout your life I think this is if it comes down to some of the things I’ve always always said cigna and waking up in the morning and and she wasn’t going to bed at night with a very clear hate so %HESITATION something that I’ve started doing very recently is meditation but he’s it has %HESITATION that’s a great way of getting this clarity but I’ve I’ve always had this very %HESITATION positive outlook and been very clear with myself even in bad times because I’m not saying I’ve never had bad times if we were to have bad days %HESITATION who have bad situations and things that aren’t working out but then focus on them so %HESITATION you know get through it B. for the in focus I’m all I’m always been focused on getting success and telling myself that that’s achievable so to do that in the morning tell yourself how great you are tell yourself %HESITATION when you go to bed at night focus on the things that happen that will be good in the day because there’s good and bad in every day but if you focus yeah most people unfortunately codes but stressed out and thinking about that concerned about %HESITATION how they gonna deal with this problem that they had how they going to sort something out in a vehicle financial programs that quote %HESITATION relationship problems ago business problems I put things on the and that’s what the folks from when they go to sleep now because when you go to sleep you wake up in the morning with a with these problems still with them and you continue ways if you go to sleep and think about you know trying to clear that from your head a meditation is a great way to do it but even if you don’t meditate think about just focus on the the nice things that happened about you know even if it was just having a nice middle if it was someone said something nice you whatever it was and and go out and do that the next day I would smile at some moment we don’t have to wear a mosque I’m going to say something nice to people do something for someone you know that the only thing the whole adage of help an old lady across the road if she wants to get across the road I’m doing something for somebody else it’s a great way to make yourself feel good and then when you go to bed think about that thing that you did something else and feel good about it and I just think in the wake up feeling good give yourself affirmations in the morning to do even if you haven’t got your goal my book you know it doesn’t really have to be a goal not just affirm to yourself that life is good about the things that you have to go rather than things you haven’t caught yeah yeah this really powerful and %HESITATION so what do you value most and how do you put it into practice I suppose I I value most might might %HESITATION ability to be positive about most things so %HESITATION and dive %HESITATION a quick little story but it’s a few years ago two thousand and sixteen action saying it I realize that my comments come to fruition that summer I went with a friend %HESITATION he invited me down to to the south of France and we went over the head of a yacht we went out on his shorts for a few days %HESITATION owners to the business get together to talk about certain things and we had an amazing time and we were sailing along %HESITATION actually going from a sound so amazing you know some support from once college center pay for lunch and I got up on the back of the boat through a city reason to well I’m going to if I fell off the boat in the middle yeah and I didn’t have a life jacket on I was a semester of drugs and it was just me and my friend on the boat and he went off over the horizon and I realize that I was fun too far out swim to the shore and %HESITATION yeah at first I sort of had a bit of a panic in a bit of a sort of you know some of the negative thoughts at at at and there were few profanities went through my head in the premier loudly %HESITATION I stewed about all the shops in the magistrate you know these things you know so you have these negative thoughts and then I use my power positivity great mentor Tony Robbins also has %HESITATION help me with this and lock it it was already there in my life anyway and I thought about positive outcomes I started focusing on the fact that this wasn’t going to be in because it wasn’t my time and he would come back so I need to just stay very calm and conserve my energy and stay afloat that was the most the key point because he would come back at some point %HESITATION and then looking around for other opportunities not things too so that power positivity my positive thoughts probably saved my life almost certainly saved my life and when I A. when he did actually come back again she was bullied at ten fifteen minutes later it felt like and I found it wasn’t because I could have died said right %HESITATION but when he came back and I go back on the boat we actually did get to our luncheon center and we were sitting down actually it didn’t seem that big a deal to me but we’re talking about it over lunch there was a code to Scottish couples on the next table and and they just sort of came to the table do you mind if we interrupt you just want to shake your hand and tell you how lucky you are to be alive most people in that situation will die and they can sing or go to you know get into the negative emotions and it’s really a lesson in life and it’s certainly a lesson about how current songs that if you stay positive focused on positive outcomes undergo map is a great way to focus on positive outcomes because you put these way he wants to be focused on getting to where you want to be focused on not just survival but thriving and getting out of this in a very very positive ways you can use that with our %HESITATION with our current situation use my energy beings is lost at sea the tree yeah and be focused be positive and you’ll be amazed at the results that come out of it and I’m here today because of that now while enough there must have been so so %HESITATION so scary to be like to just be like stranded in this stadium Mike yeah I suppose as you say if you had gone down that road of panic you were your arms that have been everywhere and like goodness knows what could have happened yeah so is the internet is a so so about other experiences lots of experience is actually through my life that I can focus on the %HESITATION face power positivity and yeah and if people have called me Mister positive so you know it’s I I know it’s one of my real values %HESITATION is something that I my love my son and I share with other people and I X. brings positive results yeah do you have actually maybe like a I. us kind of a a a a smaller %HESITATION %HESITATION %HESITATION example of how you %HESITATION a practice that or of how as someone kids practice M. the power off %HESITATION of positivity in their day where where’s I could doesn’t have to be in those life and death %HESITATION at life and death extremes where can just be in there %HESITATION everyday life do you have some examples %HESITATION yes so that that’s the big one but you know %HESITATION yeah I think what I liked and it should be a real feature doc but yes I think in every single day so in everything we do and if you look around yourself and you think about people in your life the law plus and what they have in their lives and those who are negative and we tend to attract that same house the people who are negative and have negative thoughts about things tend to get negative negative results in people apostates and get positive results such that doesn’t mean that everything in my life it’s positive of course lots of negatives happen but it doesn’t S. more example if you like not being on holiday lots of times I’ve had zero negative things happen to me but I’ve always had incredible experiences on my holidays because I’ve never stay focused on the negatives I’m one of the best trips I ever had was when I went the Russian friend of mine I lived in Moscow editing that needs in Moscow Russia and I went from Moscow to here and we are right we went on the train got off the train and went on the underground it gets gets what’s on sale and I got pick pocketed I had the my water taken out of my pocket for my money and credit cards while it was the start of a four day trip the ended up being the best I story thirty six out three days three days %HESITATION that Friday we came back on Sunday it was the best three days two and a half days we have such a law often so much fun because I cancel my calls and said okay that’s gone nothing I can do it and I am I’m going to enjoy my trip and had a brilliant time and you know my he said as well but yeah we couldn’t believe it was how I was able to shift my focus from something that could have ruined it he said most people could just go back on the next train and go back to Moscow because %HESITATION you know we we didn’t he fortunately he sponsored me pay for things I was able to do but we and we were very frugal on what we had because we didn’t have so much money to share between the two of us but we had an incredible time in on the %HESITATION you know yeah out getting out of that depict them focus on something negative that’s happened focus on we’ll see if I was said to have a good time to have a good time yeah yes a big bad it happened but it happened that I couldn’t do anything about it I needed to move on so I would say to people whatever happens in your life it when bad things are going to come along you can’t avoid that negative stuff’s gonna happen you can avoid that don’t focus on it because if you do you’ll attract more negativity and you’ll be actually open to more negativity folks hostess redirect wait what you’re thinking about re direct way you are and what you want you’ll be amazed at how it changes everything around you and change your experience and because that is how the new version create a positive illusion stay with the negative image because it is %HESITATION destination yeah and it says you saw what it what it sounds like it’s not really like what what happens to you it’s how you choose to respond to what happens to you yeah what when when I say an illusion I mean it’s happening in front for yeah yeah the card trick it is actually happening but the illusion is how you proceed what’s happened guarantee if you absolutely know the card trick well you know the tricks you can watch it and you sort of wonder how that’s going on I watch a lot of things with that with that a my son on yes you but let’s talk about how the tricks and I show you how it works you and so it’s a bit disappointing because you sort of think well well beyond really want to know what that it was fun watching it this is a life which were going on at the same time so I’m except what you want to see know what you want to get which is the positives and then you’ll enjoy life let yeah I think it’s just a really actually %HESITATION reminds me of what %HESITATION Tony Robbins talks about a strike how do you create your at your state of mind and it’s %HESITATION it’s what are you choosing to focus on what does it mean and I think that the third one is that what is your %HESITATION physiology I think I’m pretty sure that’s the three things that create your your %HESITATION your state and it sounds like you were you use those tools yeah so physiology as yes touch each is as you know everyone doesn’t you are in the world we have the same physiology we sat down and yeah he just comes out we breathe more so it created a sense having a positive mindset means you tend to be in a positive state are you in a pool he and this means you’re gonna get more positive things happening for you yeah if you have down folks because when we recover the IFEC origin follows and actually we can change our state by changing your physiology in a state by thinking differently we can do one of these uses tools and as Tony said we can do it in a heartbeat yeah yes you know if you if you have the right mindset you can change everything just just by changing these few taking these tools and change your physiology change what you’re thinking what you’re focusing on and you create something different I’m not saying it’s always going to work you know some yeah herbal things do happen and you can’t change what’s going on you can change how you react to that you say you know all over the world we’ve seen people who won fourteen lost limbs and still climbed Mount Everest and they found her way and I’ve got all my limbs and well and I’ve been healthy my life pretty well and I’ve never done because yeah never had the mind set the will power in the and the decision to go and do but I know you know it’s a bit like you were saying about setting tossing and is it too big if I really set out to climb Mount Everest even at my age I could still probably do it will be a lot of work yeah yeah things to get myself into this %HESITATION able to do it and join with a lot of people and everything but if I really set my if that was a real gold if I really wanted to do that I couldn’t do it yeah well we to take control of what they can be in control of system folks somewhat calm control folks what you can control and when you start doing that taking these as you said tiny first steps baby steps
